Texas Tiger Rescue September 2011

Wild Animal Orphanage rescued 24 tigers from a New Jersey facility after it was shut down by the state

After declaring bankruptcy in 2010, they contacted the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and other organizations for help

WAO struggled for over a year to find permanent homes for all of their cats

A big cat costs $10,000 per year in food and vet care.

Amazingly, an anonymous donor couple stepped in

They knew these tigers since they were cubs

They were able to fund the ongoing care of three lucky tigers

We were able to provide Arthur, Andre, and Amanda a permanent home

They are some of the lucky few

We can not rescue every animal that needs a home

The most effective way to put an end to the suffering and abuse

For big cats in America is to give them a voice
