YOU'RE LATE!!!!!!!!!!!
You have an important meeting at 9am and you overslept. Your day hasn't even started and PANIC sets in. Has something like this ever happened to you?
What if you could control how your day unfolds from there? Here's the secret: you can.
You can't do anything about the fact that you overslept and are going to be late, but you CAN control how you react and handle the situation.
Do you roll out of bed, stressed, sprint out the door and feel like you can't catch up all day? Or do you take ownership of the situation, take a minute to just BREATHE, maybe apologize to your boss (or whoever) and give a heads up, and then do the best you can that day. 9 times out of 10, it's not that big a deal if you just get out in front of it. "Ok but realistically I'd never take 2 minutes to do a 'meditation' if I woke up late for a meeting." Did that thought cross your mind? Just think about it. If you're already late, 2 minutes more is seriously not going to make a difference. You're late anyway. It is what it is.
