SYNCLAB MEDIA NETWORK-SALES FUNNEL VIDEO-EPISODE TWO
What Am I Getting Into?
Welcome back to our video series about Sales Funnel Videos. I’m your host Mark Neace, CEO of SyncLab Media.
In our last video ( https://www.bingenetworks.tv/media/synclab-media-network-sales-funnel-video-episode-one-355295 ) we established the need for all business leaders to change the way we communicate with each other in a market environment that has been disrupted for the foreseeable future.
Video marketing is now a necessity for the survival of any business. The first question you probably have about video marketing is...What am I getting into?
Good question and exactly the one you SHOULD be asking, because video marketing requires time, effort and of course...funds.
We’ll get into the details on the needed resources later, but for now...let’s take a look at the first step.
The first thing you must do before you start any level of video marketing is develop a strategy.
What happens if you don’t have a strategy?
Well, you remember those resources I mentioned? Much of that time, effort and money will be wasted if you start making videos without a defined strategy.
We have developed a 9 step video marketing process, and the first 3 steps deal with building a strategy.
Know Your Self
Review your business objectives, analyze your current brand image, and be aware of your competition.
What is the result you want to achieve? Do you want more brand exposure, to build a bigger email list, a higher click through rate to a landing page?
Is your website and digital footprint optimized? Do you have business profiles on the right platforms, and do they have consistent messaging?
How is your competition using video marketing? If they are, what results are they getting and how can you differentiate your efforts?
Know Your Audience
We understand it is hard to visualize a direction to take with video marketing when you are not familiar with your audience interests or how they consume marketing content.
Define your target audience, or what marketers call your customer persona. What do they like? Where do they spend their time online? What types of content do the engage with most?
Then, focus on how to engage interested consumers and tell them the action that you want them to take.
Know Your Results
What is the result you want to achieve? If you don’t know where you want to go how will you know when you get there?
How will you measure your success and know when you have achieved it?
And it is just as important to build some flexibility into your strategy so that if you are not seeing the desired results in a defined timeframe, you have the ability to make course corrections without starting over.
Putting the time and effort into developing your strategy will determine the type, quantity and frequency of video content that will work best for your business.
If you don’t have the time to develop your strategy then it may be the time to call in the cavalry.
The first step is the most important, and we’re here to help.
